My name is Natalie Spaitis, and I will graduate from James B. Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, IL in the class of 2023. I am an extremely dedicated, hardworking, and fiercely competitive person, both in the classroom and on the field. I am a very serious student, and currently have a 4.4/4.0 weighted GPA. I plan to pursue a teaching degree in the field of physical education.
I started playing softball when I was five years old. When I was 8, I joined a travel softball team and began learning to pitch. I started working with Tincher Pitching Chicago, who I still work with currently. As my pitching skills continued to develop and helped me to stand out on the field, I eventually moved to the Chicago Cheetahs at 12 years old, and then to my current team, Chicago Batbusters, at 15 years old. I appreciate that pushing myself to excel in the pitching circle has opened the door to new opportunities that have allowed me to continue to grow and increasingly challenge myself on the field. It is my goal to find a college program that will similarly afford me the opportunity to continue to challenge myself and grow as a student and athlete.
I love being part of a competitive softball team. My coaches have acknowledged me as a team leader, and I have been told that my teammates play with visibly more confidence and heart when I am in the circle. This gives me great pride, and I think it is not only because of my pitching skills, but also because they know I will always give 100% effort, and they know I will give my all to help my team win. I hope to be able to bring my winning attitude, leadership, and pitching skills to a college program that is a good fit for me.
