My name is Grace Rohloff. From the time I was little, I planned on playing softball in college. I have been playing for six years now, and I have loved every second of it. I am a hard worker and I love a challenge. If someone tells me that I can't do something or that I am not that good at it, I make sure to try even harder to prove to them that I can.
As I was trying to figure out what I would like to study in college, I looked at who I am as a person. I am the type of person who tries to help everyone that she can. I also am the type of person who cannot just walk away from things that I am passionate about. I decided to study Sports Management because I love interacting with others. Many people in my life have had to go through some sort of rehab. Watching and hearing about how much they make someone's day or how they make a big difference inspired me to help others just like them. I have also volunteered at a local facility called Turnstone. I have enjoyed volunteering with athletes who face physical challenges and have inspiring dreams.
I am looking for a few things when choosing a college. I am looking for professors who are passionate about teaching and a safe campus atmosphere. I am looking for chemistry in the softball team including how the coach interacts with the team and families. I grow when a coach is honest and is willing to help. I want the coach to tell me what needs to be fixed and then be willing to help me fix it and improve. No matter what team I am on, I want to become a better player and be a better person.
