I’m Isabella Shippen. I am 5’5”, I’m a catcher from Portage, IN. I play for a travel ball team called the Midwest Stars. Although I am listed as a catcher, I can play multiple positions, such as third base and second base. Softball is very important to me. I have been playing since I’ve been 4. Since I’m in 8th grade I haven’t gotten the chance to play high school level. I hope to change that and make varsity my freshman year.
I have had 2 years of track. In spring of 2017 , I finished 6th in conference , Out of all the girls that went to conference from my school I was the only girl to place In shot putting. I beat my record of 26ft. In 2018 I also did track went to all the practices but when it cam time for conference I couldn’t make it because I had a big softball tournament going on. Also this year (2019- 2020) I played volleyball this year. We didn’t do to bad we beat our rival. I had 10 points per game. I also had a lot of game wining serves with a great help by my teammates. I have also had 3 years of riding BMX. I was a 3 times state champion and 2nd in Illinois for national.
It has always been not a dream, but also a goal to play collegiate softball. I am willing to commit to any college in the country that puts faith in me with a scholarship. My athletic goals for my college career aren’t different from many others. All I want is to contribute in helping my team win. I can offer a team devotion; once I start , I won’t stop. I strive to be the best that I can be athletically, academically and as a human being.
