Personal Statement

I have always been passionate about playing sports, and have always had a natural athleticism. It wasn't until I tried Softball, that I found a sport I truly loved.   I just completed my 6th year of playing ball, my third year playing for the Calgary Adrenaline Association. I am a ambitions player and was awarded the most dedicated player award from my coaches this year. I am determined to improve my skills to make myself the best player I can be. This year I played left and center field but was trained at shortstop and first base.  I feel that I was an asset to my team in field and received  the play of the game at Provincial Championships. Although I didn’t have any game time at the infield positions, I continue to train in the off season to improve my knowledge and skills at all positions so I can become a true utility player. I feel that I have a unique skillset as a Canadian player as I am a slapper and am really fast. This is the second season I have taken on this role with my team and am extremely happy with my placement of the ball, as seen in my videos. I continue to work on my own time as a left hitter so that I can be an asset to my team. I have been watching Kendra Falby from the Florida Gators and my goal is  to be able to play the game as well as she does.  I am a positive, outgoing and you can find me cheering on my teammates. I am the first one out of the dugout to congratulate my teammates and constantly involved in the game from wherever l‘m at.  My schooling is no different then my training. I am dedicated and hope to major in anthropology, psychology or law. I see university as an opportunity to live anywhere in North America and look forward to the adventure.
