Softball has always been a big part of my life, allowing me to be a part of something bigger than myself. The sport, my coaches, and my family have shaped me into a very focused and determined person and taught me that success only comes through hard work and commitment. Luckily, I am not afraid of either.
I have a "never-give-up" attitude and keep my eye on the end goal. It's this kind of attitude which makes me very much a team player. I work hard at improving myself on every level, both physically and mentally, so I can be someone not only my team can count on but others outside of the sport can as well.
At my high school, I've been a student aid, a Link Leader (a senior student selected by teachers to mentor freshman students) and a volunteer at many events. I've also been a member of my school choirs and volleyball team throughout my high school career.
I'd like to continue being someone that people can count on as I pursue a college degree. That is why I would like to play collegiate softball. I want to continue contributing to a team, be challenged to reach higher goals, and learn all that I can from the experience.
