Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Haydn Milley and I am a class of 2024 RHP, middle infielder and lefty hitter. I attend Seaquam Secondary School in Delta, BC Canada and play for Surrey Storm 2006 Gold and TC Colorado 18U Gold. I have been playing softball since I was 8 years old and grew up in an active, outdoor loving family that has spent every softball season at the ball park watching either my parents or sister play until I was old enough to join a team.
I am a good candidate for your team as not only do I bring talent, passion, determination and a work ethic like no other, I also bring strong leadership skills, time management, and mental toughness in the circle. I am confident and know the value of being a team player. Being a valued member of a team, and committing 100% to my teammates motivates me to perform at my absolute best. I am a very encouraging, supportive and funny teammate and consider my team to be my second family.
I am a multi-sport athlete and also enjoy playing high school volleyball and in the past soccer & baseball. The discipline required to balance 2 sports and school has given me the skills that set me apart from other candidates. I have a 3.75 GPA and I am looking forward to my post-secondary education where I can explore my other passion, environmental sciences. I am looking for a college that will support me both academically and on the field. I have been called a “gamer and a dogg” because of my drive to be successful on the field and because of my intensity in the moment. I am always trying to push my limits as a player and strive to improve in hopes of continuing my softball journey in college.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
