Personal Statement

My name is Alyssa and I am a Pitcher/utility from NSW Australia.   I am currently attending Edward Waters University.

I am a member of the 2023 Australian Elite Player Development Squad was part of the 2022 Australian Spirit Development squad and the Aussie Spirit Squad for the 2020 World Series in Peru and the Aussie Diamond team for the 2020 Canada Futures Competition.

My aspirations are to play at the highest level I can in the softball world. More specifically to one day make the Australian Olympic team and play professionally. I have been blessed with many opportunities over my lifetime and have worked hard to be where I am today. I love the game just as much as I love learning new things on and off the field.  My goal is to not only use my hard work to play the sport I love but also use it to earn a degree and complete my education.

I am a competitive professional player, and my team is my family.  I love the community spirit, family bond and fun we have on and off the field. I work hard to better myself and everyone around me in everything I do and continue to strive both on and off the field. I believe in earning every opportunity and that opportunities when presented, take them and perform at your best.

So far, I have a three years of college softball game experience, I am now going into my senior year Fall of 2024.  I have lead my team to many victories as well as come from behind in tough games that have lead to defeats.  Each game, I lead from the circle I have a positive encouraging attitude.  I learn something from every game and work on inconsistencies and perfecting skills during training to dominate our next games. One thing that I have learnt from these past two years is that if you practice consistently and perfect your craft then you will have no doubts in your ability to perform.
