Mia Rawlins '20 Recruiting Profile

As the child of a military couple, I’ve been fortunate to live all over the world. Through all of my experiences of life and culture, I’ve maintained my love for softball. As a sophomore at Naples American High School in Naples, Italy, I am the starting catcher on the varsity team for a second consecutive year. Some of my best attributes besides being coach-able with a great attitude include: composure under pressure, great situational awareness on every play, understanding batters and their tendencies and versatility at every position. As a result of hard work, I was named to the DODEA 2018 All-Tournament Softball Team; DODEA 2018 Italy All-Region Softball Team;  DODEA 2017 All-Europe Softball Second Team; DODEA 2017 Italy All-Region Softball Team; and Offensive Player of the Year 2017.

As a future collegiate athlete, I am looking for a university that will fit my academic goals in the field of Health Sciences/Nursing, has a great softball program and cultivates diversity. As a two-sport starting varsity student athlete (both softball and basketball), I strive for EXCELLENCE in everything I do.
