Personal Statement
Hi!
I'm Irene Llorens Ballester, 19 years old from Valencia, Spain. I'm currently in my second year of the Graphic Design degree at the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia. Every since I was a child I've played all kinds of sports: judo, basketball, athletics, tennis... But what really got me hooked was softball; which I started playing when I was 12 years old. At first with my local club, Sofbol Fenix Valencia club and I continued to play with them ever since; eventually getting to play in national and European competitions. Through these competitions I started to play with the Spanish national team from 2015 onwards, participating in a number of activities and championships. What I really liked about Softball is that it taught me good values, effort and dedication, teamwork, and with hard constant work to be able to achieve my goals. I also spend time training the U-11 team at my club; where I love see the next generation learning and enjoying this great game. I'm a curious, hardworking person. Away from sports, I support and guide younger members at the local Scout Group (Orion) in Valencia which I have done for the last nine years. I love all things design, and in my spare time you may find me with my camera taking photos or getting footage for my next project or idea.
