Personal Statement
My name is Tamar Biervliet born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The love for this sport runs in my genes because I come from a true baseball family. My father played baseball, and my two older brothers have played baseball at the highest level in the Netherlands. You could say I grew up on the fields.
Last year (2023), I made my debut in the Dutch U18 National Team. This year, I am once again in the pre-selection, and I hope to represent the Netherlands in Poland during the U22 European Championship this summer. I have also made the step up to the premier league, where I play for Amsterdam Pirates.
I excel in my speed; I can run 10 meters in 1.72 seconds and run at a speed of 20.91 kilometers per hour, making me a valuable player for the team. Additionally, I am a true power hitter and work hard to achieve my goals. This year, my goal is to make it to the U22 selection. My future goal is to compete for the Netherlands at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
