My softball career started from the very beginning. Since I was 4 years old to now, I have learned many life lessons. When I was in 8th grade I started varsity, this was a big weight on my shoulders. I thought I was letting down my team by having one of the lowest batting averages. But I finally realized that everyone has their ups and downs, and nobody's perfect. You will get out and you will make errors, but the good players will be mentally tough and work through it. I figured out if I wasn't doing so hot on hitting I could pick myself and the team up with my defense. As I get older, softball continues to make me a better, stronger person.
I am extremely close with both my high school and travel ball team. We hang out and have fun on and off the softball field. I think our connection has a big impact on how we play as a team, which is an important key to be successful. My coaches have taught me in order to be a good player you need total commitment, self confidence, and discipline. These characteristics make me a unique player along with my talent. I'm still learning and growing to be the best student-athlete I can be. Grades are very important to me and I will always have the drive to get them to what I'm happy with. I want to be a part of a college where I fit in academically and athletically. I will always give my 110% effort for both these categories, and be sure to always help out and be a leader.
