Brooke Goodman '18 Recruiting Profile

    When I was eight years old, I moved from Manitoba, Canada to North Liberty, Iowa and it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I had to leave most of my family and adjust to a new school and make new friends. But that transition introduced me to this sport. I found something that I truly loved to do, met lifelong friends along the way, and soon enough it became a dream of mine to play at the collegiate level. I became a more confident, motivated individual, and learned how to stay humble and be a team player. The most important thing that I have learned throughout my softball career is that there will be people who doubt your abilities along the way but you must use it to push yourself and work harder in order to reach your goals and look for ways to improve mentally and physically as athlete. 

    It is also a priority for me to set goals in the classroom. I am aiming to graduate as valedictorian or highest honors in my class. I am also currently taking community college classes to get a head start on my nursing career. I enjoy being involved such as writing and taking photos for my high school yearbook and volunteering often.
