Abigayle Angell '21 Recruiting Profile

I have a passion for athletics and have a dream to play at the collegiate level. I am very adaptive and diverse playing volleyball, basketball, softball and throwing in track. I am a team leader always pushing other athletes to perform their best, I do so by staying positive and giving constructive criticism. 

As a sophomore, being one of two girl throwers on my entire track team, not having a girls discus coach I managed to coach myself. I planned my own workouts everyday and then I would join the boys team for their throwing practice. Through perseverance, hard work, and dedication I placed 8th in  girls 1A discus at Iowa's High School State Track meet.

From freshman year to sophomore year in softball I went from a jv player and varsity bench player to the second leading home-run hitter on my team. I scored 11 home runs during that season not including pre-season winter tournaments and travel team softball. As a team we were conference champs of the top of Iowa conference and we participated in the 2A State Softball Tournament. I was a part of the 2019 2A Northeast All District Team and 2A 3rd Team All State.
