Grace McCarty '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Grace McCarty I am a 2023 graduate at Linn-Mar High School in Marion, IA. I have been playing travel softball since I was 8. My goal has always been to play softball in college, as well as get a good education (I have not fully decided on a major yet). I have continually kept a 4.0 GPA or higher throughout my years in high school so far, along with receiving academic honors with distinction for both my freshmen and sophomore years. I am a class representative for S.O.D.A. (Students Opposed to Drugs and Alcohol) and I am also a part of T.R.Y. (Teens Reaching Youth) and Lean on Me.  As a softball player, a person would always see me give 110%, whether it is in practice or a game. I am very dedicated and passionate about softball, I would do anything to be on the diamond, every day, all day. I always tend to be one of the leaders on the teams that I play on, and I love cheering my teammates on and seeing them succeed. When playing, no matter if I am on the field or hitting, I do best when under pressure.
