Maleah Ackerman '19 Recruiting Profile

My love for softball started at a very young age.  In little league and junior high softball I was primarily the catcher.  We had a lot of success and fun as we were conference champs in both.  In high school softball I was the starting catcher both my 8th and 9th grade years and received 2nd team all-conference both years.  I also had the 7th best batting average and on base percentage in our conference my 9th grade year.  I am also on a traveling team called Krush.  I have been playing travel ball for 4 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. The positions I play for Krush are usually shortstop or 3rd base.  I am a left-handed batter with good speed and usually bat 1st or 2nd in the lineup on both my high school and traveling team.

I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. I am a four-sport athlete, a national honor society member, a certified nursing assistant, and I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!

I am a work horse not a show pony and I will always give 110% in everything I do!
