Where I come from every little kid plays summer rec softball because it gives us something to do for 6 weeks every year. But for me rec league softball ignited a passion. From the age of 5 softball became my everything! I went from rec league softball to a small local traveling tournament team, to middle school and high school softball and a regional traveling softball team. Softball has taught me many life lessons. It has taught me that mistakes happen and that it is okay to make mistakes as long as you learn from them and become better because of them. Softball has made me tougher mentally and physically. Softball has challenged me and pushed me to become a better person. Softball has given me friendships and life long mentors. Softball is the reason I get out of bed in the mornings and the reason I fall into bed exhausted at night.
Like my passion for softball my passion for education and learning was ignited early in life. I am a natural learner and I have a strong desire to learn and become better every day. I like to challenge myself academically and have high academic goals.
