My name is Shea Johnson and I attend Dowling Catholic High School! I touched my first softball when I was 6 years old and began competitive club softball in 2014 just a few years later.
I find softball as the sport I lean on for consistency. I love the feeling of the laces of the ball between my fingers, and the pop of the sweet spot of my bat on a really, good hit. Gliding through the grass of a successful dive for a pop fly in the outfield excites me. Each of these are constants of the game that I love. I also participate in track and have found a lot of success in the sport, helping to contribute my speed into the sport of softball as well. I believe this speed to be one of my strengths, using it to my advantage in the outfield and on the base paths. I also bring a positive attitude in the dugout, constantly lifting up teammates, and I pride myself in having good situational awareness and game knowledge. I strive to continue growing in each of these areas.
