My name is Josie Noll. I am a 5'1" left fielder. I have also been training lately as a catcher. As for other positions I have played all but pitcher. I attend school at Jefferson County North High school in Winchester Kansas. My school, however, does not have a softball team. As a result of this, I spend all summer and fall playing with my competitive team, and training all winter. During Summer and Fall I now play with the Hummers, an 18B fast pitch team out of Lawrence.
At school, my grades are more important to me than anything. I have been one of the top five students in my class academically for my freshman and sophomore years. Outside the academic part of school, I participate in multiple extra curricular activities. I am a member of the JCN FBLA chapter and have currently been elected as one of our two stucco reps for next year. This means that I, along with my partner, will attend all the student council meetings to keep our chapter updated, and also be in charge of the "March of Dimes" and "Adopt an Angel" fundraisers. I am also a member of our school concert band and choir. In music I participate in bringing instrumental and vocal solos and ensembles to contest. Athletically, I am on the cheer, powerlifting, and volleyball team.
Out of all these activities I participate in, softball is definitely my favorite. I started playing softball around second grade and immediately fell in love with the game. I continued playing in a Rec. League each year until 7th grade. This is when I first started playing competitively on an 18C team. About a year after that I found a spot on the Stingrays, then the Hummers where I am now. Throughout my entire experience, if I picked one thing I learned, it would be that nothing is impossible if you put your mind and heart into it. I didn't get the ideal start at softball as a kid. But, I want to be the best softball player I can be. And I don't intend on giving up.
