Hello, my name is Haley Springer. I am a 2017 graduate at Oldham County High School. As an athlete, my strengths are my aggressive offensive abilities and my willingness and determination to become a better athlete. I first lettered my eighth grade year in both softball and volleyball. Continuing into freshman year, I learned that hard work pays off with determination and practice; and that in order for a team to be successful, everyone has to work hard and encourage their teammates. It only takes the attitude of one person to bring down the team. At the end of my freshman year, I decided quitting volleyball would be the best decision for me in order to continue to work hard and fulfill my potential as a softball player. As a student, I challenge myself by taking honors and AP classes. In these classes, I work hard in order to maintain a high GPA.
When deciding what college I would like to attend, I am looking for the best fit to suit me athletically and academically. I would love to attend a college that has a competitive softball program and a great academic program. My plans for college are to study either Criminal Law and Justice or Health Sciences. However, my major may change over the course of the rest of my high school career. I hope that my high athletic and academic abilities will help me in order to find a college that is the best suiting for me.
