Personal Statement

I've had many influences throughout my life that has kept me going as a pitcher but also as a person. Many people have influenced me throughout my life. My grandfather who passed away when I was younger was my main influence to become a Radiation Therapist to help others with their battles with cancer and make my grandfather proud. My dad and my mother have influenced me to be great and push myself till I'm the best I can be. I have had many role models I have looked up to throughout my softball career like Jennie Finch. I strive to be great like my role models. I want to be the person a young pitcher or softball player looks up to when I'm older. I want to be the person they strive to be just like I've strived to be my favorite role models.

In addition, I have learned many things about myself throughout playing this sport, I’m very hard working, outgoing, determined, I have good-work ethic, I'm very competitive, disciplined and committed. I learned throughout this sport that I'm a strong team player and I will do anything for my team regardless if it affects me. I have also learned how to balance out how to be a student athlete, I care about my grades and getting the right education just as much as being a softball player. I do have talent, yes but that's not the only thing about me, my character and drive is an important feature of who I am. As far as educational goals, I want to find a college that is best for my education and my career, whatever is best for myself.

Lastly I would like to say I have overcome many obstacles throughout my life as an athlete. I found that I was determined and I never gave up. I kept fighting and pitching for my team. I was determined to get back to softball, and I worked every single day to make myself stronger and able. My work ethics and my determination got me ready for my junior year.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
