As a junior in high school, I have learned countless lessons and skills throughout my years of playing softball. When I was ten, my dad gave me a list of sports I could play and softball was the only sport that stood out to me. Ever since then, playing college softball was a dream and a goal of mine. I believe I have the talent and the work ethic needed to compete at the college level and I would be a great asset with my determination and passion for my sport.
My academics are just as important to me as well. A goal of mine for the rest of high school is to maintain a 90% grade average. Maintaining a high average in high school will help me to succeed at the college level as my intention is to graduate with an education degree to become an elementary school teacher.
An obstacle I have had to overcome would be my knee surgery in May of 2016 as I had to miss a season to recover and get myself stronger for tryouts in the Fall. My surgery has allowed me to be a more determined individual physically, emotionally, and mentally which has improved my softball skills. A unique characteristic I posses is my size as I have been blessed with physical strength which can be a great asset to a team. Softball has given me so many opportunities, lessons, lifelong friendships, and skills that I will have for the rest of my life. I would love to continue my softball career for four more years!
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
