Avery Hobson '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Avery Hobson. I am enrolled at Hudsonville High School and am part of the class of 2023. I have been playing softball for 12 years and my passion for the sport has not waivered. I continue to find joy in the practices and I live for the competition that follows. I enjoy challenging myself and have a strong work ethic. This is reflected in my progress as an athlete and as a student. My GPA is currently 4.11 and I am continuously working to improve it through more challenging courses. As an athlete, I am constantly pushing myself to become a better player and teammate. My progress over the years is obvious as I develop my skills further. I respond well to constructive criticism and try to apply the advice my coaches give me. I am also very level-headed and don’t let my emotions negatively affect me while I play. My teammates often lean on me when they are feeling down themselves. When my teammates are down, I pick them back up, and if I am down I will find strength in the team to pick myself back up. I would love to continue playing softball after high school, and I hope that my dedication and love for the sport are obvious in this statement.
