Sarah Tyrrell '20 Recruiting Profile

As a player, I bring energy and enthusiasm to every practice and every game. I have a positive attitude and I take constructive criticism well. I am willing to work on my game at every level, whether it be offence, defence, or my overall attitude. It has been said about me by my coaches that I am a natural leader and I often lead by example. I have also been told that I have a strong voice on the field and in the dugout and I have a coachable personality. I am different than other recruits because I have a natural love for the sport and I have a natural enthusiasm for softball. I am able to take my teammates on my shoulders and lead them in the direction of victory and unity. As an athlete, I have speed and am a strong defensive player. I have confidence at every at-bat and every play in the field.

I bring the same work ethic to the field as I do in the classroom. I make sure that my grades reflect who I am as a student-athlete. My goal as a college athlete is to use my skills as a softball player to compete at a college level while obtaining my scholastic and professional goals as a person. I'd like to be someone with a target on their back. My whole athletic career, in any sport, I've been a player who has been the one to beat and I'd like to continue that in college because it helps to motivate my teammates to improve their game and to not be complacent as a player.
