Delaney Lindstrom '22 Recruiting Profile

I've known since I was 8 years old that I wanted to play college softball at the highest level.  My dad was a professional baseball player, so I basically grew up on the ball fields.  This experience has taught me how to be a good teammate and leader both on and off the diamond.  I am very competitive and driven to succeed.  When on the field, I always put the team first and will do whatever is best for the team to have success.  I learned at a very young age that my effort and my attitude are the two things that I have complete control over not just athletically but also in life.  I carry this into my academics as well and carry a 3.7/4.0 GPA while taking honors and AP courses that challenge me.  In college I plan to study Exercise Science or Kinesiology as I have always been interested in the movement of the body and really want to work with and help future athletes achieve their goals.  I've had success through my work ethic and strong determination.  With my own personal growth, I've more interested in understanding the human mind and focusing on the psychology of athletes as well.
