I am a catcher and 3rd baseman from Shakopee, MN. I am graduating in 2023, having played varsity for 3 years. I quickly grew to love softball and I knew I wanted to play College ball for years. I am very social and outgoing as a teammate and student. As a catcher, I have learned how to be a leader, how to recognize different situations on and off the field to make us more successful. It is important to me that my teammates are supported during ups and downs, and as a result have made a lot of great friends. Softball has given me opportunities to learn how to have patience, push myself when need to overcome challenges, manage disappointment, and work through struggles. I take a lot of these skills and utilize them with my education and other group activities. I did some coaching with some younger association teams and now currently an assistant coach for another 15U team. This allows me to be in the game, when my team is not playing.
I am looking into studying Criminal Justice and Psychology. It interests me to why people behave the way they do and how the environment responds. These areas are in great need with how world has changed in the last couple years.
I take my education very seriously and have learned how to manage my time and communicate. I have excellent relationships with my coaches and teachers because they recognize my effort. This allows me to be able to ask for help on and off the field and have been told I am very coachable. Being open minded to learning new things and techniques has only made my softball experience more enjoyable.
