Hello! I'm Caitlin Olafsson, I'm from Woodbury, Minnesota and go to East Ridge High School. I play for the Minnesota Magic on the 16u gold team and play 3B/2B. My college goals are to be a part of the community on campus and to better my education so I'm able to go into the medical field when I graduate college.
What sets me apart from other recruits is that I'm very personable and easy to talk to. For example, we have three captains on our high school softball team and all three of us play different roles. I am someone that people can come to and rely on, on and off the field. I have been told I'm someone people want to go to for help and that I act almost as glue on my teams. I think teamwork and trusting your teammates is extremely important and on all teams I have been on those two things have played a huge role in success.
I aspire to go into the medical field when I graduate, I think having a job that helps that many people gives me something to always work for. I have parents who push me to make sure I'm always doing my best in school and that has really got me to where I am today. The medical field has always been a hard field to go into and that challenge really drives me to succeed. Throughout high school I have been able to maintain a high GPA while playing at a high level in sports. I aspire to keep that drive going into to college and making into a challenging field of study.
I'm willing to work with determination on and off the field, with my studies and softball always pushing to be the best version of myself. I will work hard to improve all chances I get for myself and teammates.
