I have played softball or baseball since the age of four.
I started off playing in a dominantly male league showing me I could compete with anyone. This taught me to work harder on my skills and be a leader. During this time as a young player I was told “I was to tough to be a girl”. And I have always tried to stay on this level.
I strive to improve myself and help my fellow player also. I want to be a strong player and leader on and off the field. I am a very coachable player and take my coach's advise to heart to work even harder. I was always told to treat my softball team as family and I will always have a team to rely on.
The work I know we do on the field and off will make the difference in how we play and learn in the classroom.
I would love to play softball on a college level. Playing for a college would grant me great experiences and help me keep my goals in mind. This would show me and all around that you can reach and achieve any goal you set for yourself, by hard work and believing in yourself.
