My freshman year on JV was a learning experience, since I was the only catcher on the team I had to learn how to be the leader on the field, as well as being a good teammate and roll model for my team. My sophomore year of high school we won the regional championship and we made it to state finals, even though we didn't win I learned that everyone makes a great impact on the performance of the team, and I learned that character along with work-ethic contributes to how well I performed in the team. I learned to find a balance between school and softball and it taught me that I can challenge myself athletically and academically while succeeding in both. With this experience I learned that I am capable of playing in college while also focusing on my studies, and helping out in my community. Through these two years of high school so far I've learned that I can be a leader on the field, I can commit myself to my academics and softball, and I have developed good time-management skills that I can apply to being a successful student-athlete.
I'm looking for a school where I can work well academically and challenge myself athletically. I believe that I have significant perseverance, strong work-ethic, and notable leadership skills that I can contribute to your team. Being a catcher and a third baseman I have a strong arm and fast reactions to the ball. I am also a strong hitter at the plate that I hope will be fit or helpful for your school.
