Courtney Turpin '21 Recruiting Profile

My ultimate goal is to flourish in college both academic and athletic.I have always wanted to go to college and play softball. Coming from a small town with little exposure, it is difficult to pursue the goals and aspirations I have, but I want to prove to myself as well as everyone around me that it is possible if I am determined and driven. I always try to stay as positive as possible during softball as well as in everyday life. Teammates often refer to me as their "certified hype man" and I take pride in knowing I can do that for them. Academically, in my last two years of high school I have been gearing my studies more towards what I was to pursue in college and then as a career after that. This means I have also been pushing myself into more advanced studies in order to do what I want in career terms. Overall, I want to show that it doesn't matter where you come from, as long as you have dedication and determination dreams can become a reality.
