Dear Coach or Coaches,
My name is Olivia Packard. My collegiate goals are to play college softball to be greatest division I can, and study to be a Conservation Officer, hoping to specifically study Wildlife Management, and Criminal Justice.
What would make me a good candidate for your team is that I am a player with integrity. I am always honest and humble about my success, my failures, my "slumps", and so on for what can happen in the game of softball. Although with this, I am always willing to work until "I feel my bat might break" to become a better player. I feel I'd also make a good asset to your team because, I always focus on paying attention to little details that can make a big difference. I always "practice like I have never won, but play like I have never lost", and enjoy working with my teammates and forming bonds with them so we can play as if we've been playing together for such a long time, even if we haven't.
As a "character" in softball, I am like said, humble and honest, but also forward, focused and intense about the game that I love. I always want to succeed, even though I understand that that is not always possible.
Although, as a "character" academically, I would say I am fulfilling and driven. In school, I always push myself to be the best student I can be, consistently asking questions, and occasionally performing a bit past the top expectation level that my teachers give me. With this, I am a 3x recipient of the President's Excellence in Education Award, a 1x recipient of the Top Performing Student in Middle School S.T.E.M. Award, a 1x recipient of the Top Performing Student in Middle School Art Award, recipient of the Top 8th Grade Student in Mathematics 2024, and one of the recipients of the 8th Grade Omni Awards of 2024 for being a well-rounded student and person. Before graduating 8th grade, I was a member of National Junior Honor Society for 2 years, and was also a member of my schools Student Council for 1 year.
I appreciate you taking the time to read my introduction. I hope we can connect and talk about what I can offer your program and what your program can offer me.
Sincerely,
Olivia Packard, 2028' Graduate
