Hello, my name is Deva Ali and I am a student currently attending East Orange STEM Academy. For me learning and pushing myself to my fullest potential is my priority. The words that describe me the best is that I am a type A person and have a go-getter mentality. This school year I have all honors classes, one advanced Computer Programming class, and a class in AP US History. Every school year before that I took all honors classes and last year I took a class in AP CS Principles. My current GPA is a 3.9 and I'm ranked number eight in my entire junior class. As a scholarly student, I am always used to working hard and getting my tasks completed, and I like pushing myself to the fullest because I’m always up for a challenge.
On top of that, I play softball in the spring and volleyball in the fall that I dedicate my time to for three or four hours a day after school. During Softball season I was a starter pitcher for two years on varsity. I will be playing Softball all throughout high school because I have a close connection with it and would like to play it in college. Each year I push myself and I physically get way better each year. During Volleyball I played on JV freshman and sophomore year. I was the captain on the JV team and I did play in some Varsity games. This year on volleyball I was a starter on Varsity and hope next year to get more stats because I will have to work even harder than this year. In conclusion, I always try to better myself each and everyday to make sure I have a successful future.
