I have always been a goal driven person. In first grade, we were asked to complete a project where we had to fill bubbles in on a worksheet with things we felt importantly about or goals that we wanted to accomplish someday. One of my goals was to obtain a college scholarship for sports/academics and another was to play softball at the college level. While some may say, those are two lofty goals...I never once thought that I would not be able to accomplish either one of them. I always work my hardest in school. I am very much aware that academics is my first priority. In order to make something of myself, I know that I have to work hard, study and put all that I can into my assignments. The same goes for sports. If I want to start, if I want to improve; I have to put in the work. I have to do more than what is expected and work as hard as I can. While I am very goal oriented, I also make time to give back to my class by being on Class Slate and volunteering for all of our fundraising events. My friends are also a big part of keeping me grounded and pushing me to be the best I can be. We are all student athletes and understand the importance of being strong role models.
