I have been involved in sports since I was seven years old. I started off playing baseball. I fell in love with baseball thanks to my dad. I guess what I like most when I was younger was all the fun practicing and playing with my teammates. It was nice to always have friends to cheer me on when I did well and cheer me up when I didn't do well. As I grew up and aged out for little league, I moved into softball on my intermediate schools team. It was definitely a change going from playing short and pitcher to playing outfield, but I feel that I have made the transition very well. I periodically play shortstop but mostly I am center fielder. I am very fast and have a strong arm to make the big plays. I am known to cover a great deal of ground and make the catch, even the diving ones. As center fielder, I fell into the roll of controlling the outfielders and I feel this is one of my better skills. I batted righty until I turned 15 years old, my coach wanted to take advantage of my speed and switched me to a Slapper. I took to it very quickly and in the past year I have started to hit well.
As of schools, I’m not really sure what my college plan is yet. I’m still undecided on a career path. As time I figure it out, I will update my page. Thanks for taking the time to look over my profile. I am new to this process and will add more details shortly. Thanks again Samantha.
