My name is Emily Holladay and I'm a 5'6 middle infielder/3rd base/ outfielder. I am a junior at Woodstown High school, and I have started on my high schools varsity teams both my freshman and sophomore years. Although my freshman season was cut short, my team had a very successful season my sophomore year. I also play travel ball for South Jersey Heat 18u gold. We have played in multiple competitive tournaments which have taught me a lot. I have learned throughout my years playing competitive softball that hard work really shows, and that most of the time you learn more from the loses and failures then from the wins.
I hope to play at a college that is a good fit for me academically and athletically. Academics are very important to me, as I plan on majoring in nursing. Throughout high school I have taken multiple honors courses, and have been an over all successful student. However I learned a lot from my sophomore year, and it has turned me into a better student then I was before.
I want to continue my softball career, no matter what division. I want to work hard to better myself at any college I attend. I bring a positive, coachable attitude to the field. I feel that attitude is the most important part of the game, and I hope that my positive attitude reflects on other players. I have a strong work ethic and I think that I would very well represent any program.
