Erin Nuwer '24 Recruiting Profile

I have dreams and goals to play softball at the highest collegiate level, my goal is to play at  D-1 level. I  am currently about to enter my Freshmen Year of high school at Nardin Accademy.   I started  playing softball when I was six years old, and started travel when I was eight years old.  Softball has taught me many things in life. I learned that hard work and dedication brings great success, not only for the skills we learn  but how we grow as a person.  I am a very competitive person by nature who loves to play the game of softball . I also have played many years of competitive volleyball .  I never want to settle for mediocracy, I am  always pushing myself  to be better and encouraging  my teammates everyday  . I  have learned how to be a leader on and off the field.  I have learned to balance school and social life with my desires to push myself to perform athletically.  I love my teammates because we are all sisters, and I love being their biggest cheerleader and pushing them at practice and games to bring out the best in them. I always give a 110 percent whether it is  at a game , practice,  pitching, batting  or a general workout session .  I train all year with a fielding group, a hitting coach, and a pitching coach along with attending softball, volleyball  clinics to improve my skills and knowledge  of the game. I love learning new skills and techniques and trying to implement them into my game.   I have not decided what major I am interested in when I attend college, however I am leaning toward a degree  in Real Estate, Finance, or  Business.  I am sure whatever college and field of study I decide to pursue, I will do it with effort and love for my school and my teammates.
