Personal Statement

I wanted to create a personal statement that shows truth and honesty. I believe the best way to explain who I am and why I will be an asset to any college team is to start by saying I do not consider myself elite, or the best of the best, but I can honestly say I consider myself one of the hardest working and dedicated players on the team, and my results speak for themselves. I believe this sets me apart from others. I can confidently say that you will not find more determination, loyalty or perseverance in a player. I work hard all the time, and am constantly searching for ways to be the best teammate and the most motivated player on the field. I am truly coachable and take pride in my abilities. Softball has created many amazing relationships for me, taught me invaluable lessons and has absolutely molded me into the person I have become. This is why it is important for me to keep playing through my college years. Softball is a piece of me.

I take the same approach with my academics. I constantly strive to push myself academically by taking honors and AP courses. I have never had a GPA less than 96 and play an active part in my school community. I am not afraid to take a step out of my comfort zone and challenge myself. I look at each failure as a learning opportunity and each success as a reward for hard work. I know my academic success is what will drive my future success, and finding balance between the two is important to me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
