My softball journey began when I started playing little league at the age of 7 and travel softball at the age of 9. I love playing on a team and being part of a team. One of my favorite little league memories is competing at the Williamsport Northeast Regionals in Bristol, CT. This experience gave me a glimpse into what playing on a college team would be like as we did everything together as a team including sleeping in dorms, eating our meals in a cafeteria, and having our uniforms washed after each game. My coaches, teachers, and friends would tell you that I am honest, loyal, funny, hard-working, determined, good-natured, and disciplined – all of which my parents have told me are important to be successful both athletically and academically. My softball journey and success continue in school as I was pulled up as an 8th grader to varsity and started every game at second base, was the lead-off batter, and voted “All League.” One immediately noticeable trait about me is my speed. My varsity softball coach nicknamed me the “roadrunner” and my winter track coach tried to recruit me for spring track. Over the last year, I transitioned from a switch-hitter to a dedicated lefty slapper/power hitter. Through continued training, hard work, and determination, my goal is to graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA and continue playing softball in college.
