I am a rising Junior (Class of 2015) at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, NC. My GPA is 3.56 unweighted and I am extremely involved in my softball teams, school and mission work travel as well as my church here in Charlotte, NC. I take AP classes as well as volunteer in Church each week with the youth program. I am also a member of there National Honor Society Chapter at my High School. All these activities plus my busy softball schedule have helped me be more organized and defined my work ethic as a player and student.
I am a primary pitcher and secondary left/right fielder. I have been playing softball and pitching since I was 8 years old. I play for the Varsity school team in the spring and train all year for travel tournament ball in the summer and fall. My travel ball team is called the Charlotte Vipers and we attend Showcase, ASA, and NSA tournaments from May- November. Our Head Coach is Eric Johnson and our Assistant Coach is Erica Rutledge. We train at an indoor facility as well as outdoor facility here in town.
Softball has been my life ever since I started playing in Second Grade (age 7) and I am one of those players that is dedicated and will never give up on my dream. I love playing competive travel and Club level ball as well as High School. One of my main goals is to attend med-school after undergraduate and become a surgeon. In the 8th grade my teacher, Ms. Gebharbt, strengthened my love for science which led me to my interest in being a surgeon. My love for science combined with my love for softball made me look into sports medicine as a future occupation. I am looking forward to working hard to reach my dreams and accomplish my aspirations.
