My name is Asia Abdul-Jillil I currently attend Kadena High School, Okinawa Japan located on a military instillation. I have been the starting Varsity Catcher since my freshman year in 2013. I am also a two year Captain of a year round traveling team Lady Ambassadors. I am an academically driven student. I look to challenge myself in the classroom by taking Honors, AP and Foreign language classes in order to be a better leader and follower. I give to people by volunteering my time to help younger student athletes, tutoring abd mentoring educated players. I do my best to lead the way on and off the field. I love softball and hope to find a school that can teach me in the classroom and on the field through years I attend that College/Univeristy.
All of my previous coaches have said that I am a very coachable athlete and student of the game. My primary position is catcher but I also play third and first base. I am a switch hitter with pop on both sides. I look to continue to grow and learn more and more about the game. I am a hard worker and dedicated to becoming a great player and teammate. Any school or team I play for as a family we only get better because of what we work hard on and go through good or bad. I am looking forward to finding my new softball family and school.
My goal is to attend a great College/University become a starter, contribute to the success of my family/team all 4 years. During that time complete all academic requirements to graduate.
