Alexis Burke '21 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to take my softball skills and knowledge to the next step at the collegiate level. I’m aspiring to become a dermatologist. I believe that taking part on a team at the collegiate level will improve my skills of communication and being a team member that I can apply to my future. I am the ideal candidate for your team because I am a hard and determined worker. I am always looking for and accepting critiques as I feel everyone always has room for improvement. I live by the motto their is no 'I" in team. I am a natural born leader and an exceptional teammate. I inquire many traits that set me apart from other candidates. Over this past year (2019-2020) I have volunteered over 30 hours to giving back to my community through varies activities such as the Salvation Army, assisting in nursing homes, and homeless shelters. Furthermore, I am a two sport athlete. This past November of 2019 my varsity volleyball team and I attended the State Class A tournament for the second time in school history and received a 3rd place trophy for the state of North Dakota. I have also been apart of my school varsity softball program since 8th grade, where I've been able to participate in two state tournaments. Finally, I am an outstanding academic individual. Since freshman year to now I have maintained above a 4.0 GPA. I have challenged myself with many college courses where I have been able to receive college credit in high school. Due to my rigorous academics I was able to obtain my letter in academics.
