My biggest dream has always been to play at the next level and I couldn't imagine my senior year in high school being the last year I play softball. I started playing softball five years ago. I was active in other sports including golf, basketball and track, and realized my passion for sport is in softball. I started playing a couple years behind the other players and therefore, I dedicated myself 100% to ensure I am always an asset to my teammates. I believe to be a team player you have to hold yourself accountable and always strive to improve yourself by practicing and learning each of your own as well as all of your fellow teammates' strengths. A team should be a family. I never limit myself to owning only one position. I am a well rounded player on the field and can slide into any defensive position comfortably. My strongest positions are catcher, third base, second base, and left field. My goal during this summer season is to master hitting and continue to improve my speed and agility on the field.
My day is dedicated to school, practice and gym. Academics are number one priority. My goal is to achieve my bachelors degree in Exercise Science and finish my Doctrine in Physical Therapy. In order to reach my goals, I have maintained my current cumulative GPA of 3.8 and honor roll status throughout high school. My ACT score is a 22 and I am planning to retake for an improved score. In my free time I volunteer at the community humane society.
"When I first met Ashlee she was a raw player with room to grow. I once trained with her when she was in my travel organization and now I coach against her, for her high school team is in my conference. I have to say I am impressed with the player she has become. She is a solid defensive catcher. She is aggressive with a strong arm from behind the plate. Holds runners well. She also handles the bat well. Pretty tough out. I see her only getting better!!"......Head Coach, Troy Keegan, Edison High School.
