My name is Harley Webb and I have been playing softball since I was 7 years old, and every since I started playing travel ball at age 11, I knew it would become my dream to continue to play at the collegiate level. Throughout the years I have played, I have developed mental toughness, a high softball IQ, and the experience of so many friendships. I am a natural leader on my team and I try to lead by example as well as encourage my teammates.
I work hard year round on my skills, participating in weightlifting class during school, private lessons in the evenings, and participating in school ball for my High school team. I love playing for my High school team and continuing to get reps and play with my friends outside of travel ball. My mindset during school softball, as well as travel ball, is to be serious while having fun. I am very focused and serious while playing, but I like to laugh and have fun in the dugout and on the field, while also asserting the seriousness of the game.
In the past, I have been gratefully recognized for my hard work. I lettered my freshman year playing Third Base for my High school team, starting all games and hitting 4-spot. I was selected as a Direct Invite to the USSSA All American Team as a freshman, I participated in the All Star Games at Berliner after winning the nomination as a sophomore, and most recently I was selected as a Direct Invite to attend the USA Softball HPP National Selection Event as a sophomore.
While my life is softball I study hard in the classroom and maintain a 3.81 GPA. I received Honor Roll all 4 quarters of my freshman year, and so far I have received Honor Roll again my sophomore year. I have not yet taken my ACT or SAT as I am not old enough, but plan to take them soon.
I want to be able to push myself in the classroom and on the field and continue to make long lasting relationships, as well as continue to develop my softball IQ and play the game that I love!
