For as long as I can remember, softball has been a part of my life and I am dedicated to finding a way to continue my career as a student athlete in college.
I have played travel softball for the last seven years, elevating my game and my level of competition year over year. While my freshman softball season was cancelled due to COVID-19, I started on the varsity softball team in 2021 as a sophomore and was the only player in my grade to earn a varsity letter last season. My travel ball season last summer (2021) was also stellar, as you will note from my statistics. As the lead-off hitter in every game I played last summer, I work hard every at bat, as is evidenced by my .540 batting average, and my OPS of 1.360.
I continued to have success on the field this past school ball season, earning a .512 batting average and recognition in first team in my league, second team in my district for D1, and third team all-metro.
As a left-handed player, I have found my best fit in centerfield, where I can be counted on by my teammates to put in 110% effort to make the play. I also have been developing my skills as a pitcher, and serve an important role as a reliever to give a different look from the mound.
I work hard not only on the field, but in the classroom. I have challenged myself with Advanced Placement courses and have maintained above a 4.0 average in my academically focused high school and am in the top 5% of my class. With strengths in both math and science, I am keen to pursue a career in the medical field, and I am looking for a college where I can continue my rigorous course of studies with the hope of going on to either medical school, pharmacy school or optometry school.
I am looking for a college and a softball program where I can be pushed to be my best - both on and off the field. I also am looking for a team-based atmosphere where I can develop lifelong friendships.
Softball, like so many things in life, is a process of continuous improvement, and has afforded me the opportunity to work with and learn from people from different backgrounds. I am excited about what the future holds and having the chance to play at the next level.
