During my time in college, I want to be challenged both athletically and academically. I am passionate about softball and I am a loyal teammate. If I need to sac bunt, I am glad to put it down. If a coach wants to put me in a different position than usual, I am more than happy to do so. I just want to play the game I love, no matter how. I have a strong work ethic. Often times after practice I ask my coach to hit me extra grounders, or I ask one of the pitchers to stay later so I can practice framing or blocking. I could hit off a tee for hours, I constantly have blisters on my hands, especially in the off-season.
In regards to my future career, I know that I want to help other people. For me personally, I feel I can fulfill my purpose by either being a nurse or a translator. I believe it is important for people to try to learn about different cultures in order to help us empathize with other people better; learning the language of someone else, I feel, is one of the best ways to connect and relate to someone.
In my free time, I enjoy learning new things (especially languages), working out, and playing the cello.
