Raelyn Calhoun '28 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Raelyn Calhoun and I’m a 2028 graduate. My college goals include becoming a vet but also improving and having an amazing time in softball. I would like to play at the highest level but open to build my way up. I have 4.0 GPA and I’m a very hard worker. I’ve been playing softball since I was five and as I got older I fell in love with the strategies, mindsets, and the teamwork within the game. I love the energy a team can  and giving out the energy feels awesome as well. I’ve been on two different travel/club teams in three years. I’ve learned a lot from this team and I love the competitiveness. Within those two years I went from being a right handed batter, to a left handed slapper, and currently leaning towards power hitting on the left hand side. I’ve played every position but first. My favorite position is catching and middle infield is my second. I’m really committed student athlete. I can’t wait to grow and learn more as I get older.
