My name is Jasmine-Marie Ries and I am a 2017 graduate from Beaverton, Oregon. My goal is to compete in the sport of softball as a student-athlete at the next level.
I currently play for the Aloha Breeze 18A team based primarily out of the Aloha, Oregon area. My primary position is outfield where I have played Left, Center and Right field. I am a left-handed fielder and left-handed batter. I have the ability to slap, bunt and hit for line drives. My home to first base time/speed is 2.83 seconds. I am 5’2” and I weigh 114 lbs. My aggressiveness on the bases has caught ASA coach’s attention, though there is always room to learn new skills on the bases and throughout the game. I am always willing to learn and try anything new in softball. Softball has been one of my passions for a very long time and I have enjoyed the game ever since I was introduced to the game. I am very loud in softball and communication is one of my strong suits, as well as a very much valued asset to the game. I carry a 3.56 grade point average and am interested in pursuing degrees in Pharmacy and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). I actively attend University softball camps in Oregon and Washington such as, Linfield College, Pacific University, Oregon State University and University of Washington.
