Hi, my name is Jordan Cresswell and I've been playing softball since I was 7 years old. I really enjoy the game of softball and I love to compete.
I was named MVP of the 2019 NAFA Nationals Tournament while playing club/travel softball for Lady Dragons Fastpitch from 2015 to 2021, and I was able to contribute to the program getting better each year. Despite not being able to play softball in 2021 because I was recovering from spinal fusion surgery, I was still there at every club and high school varsity practice, every early morning session, and every game to support the team in whatever way I could. I helped coach the other catchers, charted pitches, and cheered my team on. I've since made a full recovery, and as the starting catcher in 2022, I was a key contributor to my varsity team go 14-2 and winning a Co-Conference Championship, while advancing to the 5A State Playoff semi-finals. In 2023, my high school team went 26-3, took our Conference at 15-1 and we won the 5A State Championship! During the season I was able to continue to improve on my catching skills defensively and contribute at a high level on offense (3rd on the team in BA and led the team in RBIs).
I‘m looking forward to continuing to develop myself as a player and a leader on my travel club this summer, Washington LadyHawks 18 Gold-Gonzalez.
I love softball not only because it's fun, but because of the life lessons it's taught me. It's really taught me how to communicate with others and how to be the best teammate that I can be, while standing out as a leader. I've been able to take these things that I've learned on the softball field and apply them to my everyday life. I look forward to continuing to work hard so that I can play softball at the collegiate level while also achieving my academic goals, pursuing my interests in the medical field.
