My name is Brianna Kohr. My entire life has revolved around athletics. I have grown up and have been involved in a variety of different sports, such as softball, basketball, and volleyball. Coming from a small, rural community and having parents as coaches, being a three sport athlete is very much my mindset and normal for me! Although, I play each of these three sports and have had success, softball has always been my passion. In addition to my high school teams, I have played club volleyball and ASA softball for many years. As I approach my last year of high school, I am not ready to let go of my passion; rather I am excited to pursue my dream of becoming a collegiate softball athlete. My ultimate goal is to be a member of a program with teammates that have the same drive, passion, competitiveness level, and share the love of the game.
In addition to athletics, I have high expectations of myself in the classroom and feel strongly about being active in my school and community. I am involved in many clubs and organizations at my school, such as FFA, Student Government, National Honor Society, and currently hold elected officer positions in many of these organizations. When I entered high school as a freshman, I set a personal goal of not ever getting anything below a B in any class I take. When it comes to grades, I have upheld my commitment and am proud of the fact that I have a cumulative GPA of a 4.2. It has taken a lot of hard work, dedication, and even some failures along the way that pushed me to this continued level of success. I have learned valuable lessons along this journey that have pushed me both on and off the field. I know that hard work pays off and you get out of something, what you are willing to work for.
As I mentioned above, I am from a small, rural community and working hard to follow my dreams and pursue my love of athletics. I've had to put myself out there to try-out and play with many other girls and club teams along the way. I wanted to devote my summers to extending my love of sports and play with teammates that have the same passion and drive. These experiences helped me extend myself and challenge me to find my place and value on each of these teams. As I reflect on that, those experiences are where I grew the most not only taking extra at bats, and cuts, but as an athlete. I have learned how to adapt to new coaches, new teammates, and each time have walked away with something to add to my own game. I see a team as a family and building positive relationships with coaches and teammates as a valuable part of the entire process.
I am confident that I have a lot to offer to the right fit school and team!
I wanted to add that I am aware as you view my profile that I am missing my test scores but, wanted to assure you that I am registered to take them early this fall.
