In college, I plan to study sports journalism and my primary aspiration is becoming a sports journalist for ESPN. My main athletic goal is to become a college softball player who competes at the highest level.
I am a good candidate for your team because I am coachable, determined, able to make adjustments, hardworking, passionate, and most importantly, a great teammate.
Character is something I work very hard at.
I work to hold myself and my teammates accountable and always strive to be a positive force for my team. My work ethic is second to none. I am always willing to put in the extra work and support my teammates. I am compassionate and trustworthy, and through this, I am able to connect with my teammates and create bonds that last a lifetime.
Athletically, I am lefty, power hitting catcher and third baseman. I generally bat 3rd or 4th in the lineup and am known for my ability to make consistent, solid contact. Behind the plate, I am a calming force for my pitcher. I work hard on my framing skills to make sure I get as many strikes for them as I can. I battle to block pitches in the dirt and to make strong throws to the bases when runners are stealing.
Academically I am a model student and have been named an Academic All-Star and Model Mustang at my middle school. I have carried a high GPA through middle school and high school by working hard to complete assignments, studying for tests, remaining attentive in class, and always being prepared to learn.
