Hi, my name is Brooke Swanger. I am 16 years old and a sophomore at Bellefonte Area High School. I have a 4.0 GPA and I’m in multiple honors classes and one AP class. I’ve grown up in a baseball family. I’ve watched my brother play baseball and reach his goal of playing collegiate baseball and I’ve watched my dad play baseball in an adult league after his career in semi professional baseball. Throughout all those years, I developed a solid understanding of the game. 3 years ago, when I was in 7th grade, I decided that I wanted to play softball. Ever since then, I have found much joy from this sport. I have realized I want to play softball in college and have since then committed myself to this sport. I have a drive in me to be the best player I can be. I am achieving new goals every day. Currently, my max exit velocity is 72mph and my max distance is 220feet. I have had an up and down experience with this sport but if anything, it has pushed me to work harder everyday. Softball has taught me crucial life lessons and has helped me become the person I am today. Mistakes I have made during games and practices has only pushed me to work harder and correct those mistakes. I believe that if I continue to train, I will make a great addition to any team. If I get the opportunity to play softball in college, I will continue to work hard on and off the field, as well as in the classroom.
I appreciate you taking the time to read my profile.
